Reporter Jeremy Clark, of the Horned Frog Blitz, wrote an article about my time at TCU and the upcoming camp for Scout.com.  A lot of talk about Lockhart, my football journey, and my interest in coaching. Check it out below:

If you are interested in attending Curtis Clay’s 1st Anuual QB/WR Camp free-of-charge, please email CurtisClayCamps@gmail.com to secure a camp scholarship.  Scholarships are still available but are issued on a first-come, first-serve basis.  If you are issued a camp scholarship, you will be notified via email with instructions to register.  Additionally, this camp will only accomodate 100 people, so sign up today.

This is one of the more memorable moments of my career at TCU.  Unfortunately, we lost this game but I’ll never forget the feeling of this TD.  Plus, they give a nice shout out to Lockhart.

If you would like to attend Curtis Clay’s 1st Annual QB/WR Camp completely FREE of charge, please email CurtisClayCamps@gmail.com.  Due to the generosity of several individuals, we currently have 14 more camp scholarships available. Contact ASAP to secure your spot.

I would like to thank the following donors for their contributions to the camp and area youth:

  • Jose and Gloria Contreras
  • Martin and Donna Contreras
  • Ernie and Geri Burrhus
  • Todd Flowers
  • Jim Kaufman and family
  • Reggie Mitchell

I’m in complete awe at the overwhelming support I’ve received tonight. We’ve had scholarships pledged by the following people:

Annette Burrhus-Clay, Denise Miller, Johnny Lai, Cameron Richey, and Kathi Bliss

Tell your friends, neighbors, relatives, etc: There are SIX paid-in-full scholarships currently available. Send me a message on Facebook, Twitter (@CClay2), or WordPress to attend for FREE. Better hurry because these will not be available long.  Again, a HUGE thank you to those folks for supporting the camp and our youth.

10 Camp Scholarships

Posted: July 9, 2012 in Uncategorized

Friend and fellow Lockhart alum, Chauncey Franks, and his wife Danika, have sponsored 10 camp scholarships for Central Texas student-athletes.  I cannot thank them enough for their committment to Lockhart youth and for their help in getting this camp rolling.  The names of the 10 sponsored guys are:

  1. Nick Sanchez
  2. Kendrick Middleton
  3. Juwan Acosta
  4. CJ McKinney
  5. Corey Cuellar
  6. Benny Graham
  7. Tyrell Williams
  8. JD Franco
  9. Trent Till
  10. Brandon Clinger

I’ve had the privilege of knowing Chauncey the last couple years after he became the TCU Football chaplain and FCA Life Coach.  The odds of us former Lions crossing paths at TCU is still remarkable to me but I’m certainly glad we did.  Chauncey will also serve as a guest speaker at the QB/WR Skills Camp in between the two practices during lunch.

We’re pleased to announce our newest sponsor, the Raymond Rene Rayos. We’re very proud and honored to have him join  our team.
